for yoga teachers and experienced practitioners from health professions certified according to the international guidelines of the Yoga Alliance® (RYS300). 

The 300h Momentum Regeneration yoga therapy training combines traditional yoga and Ayurveda with the findings of modern medicine and psychology. In this way, we have been training yoga teachers and experienced practitioners since 2009, accompanying them towards giving specialised, individual yoga classes for health and regeneration.

STRUCTURE AND HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRAINING:

  • consists of 7 modules of five days each

  • allows you to manage your learning time flexibly, on-site in Prague or online

  • will provide you with a sound knowledge of functional anatomy and pathology as well as the basics of the Yoga Therapy

  • combines the findings of modern medicine, yoga psychology, philosophy, ethics and perspectives of Āyurveda

  • imparts skills for dealing with specific physical and mental impairments and realistic self-assessment

  • is inspired by the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and develops skills from different yoga styles, based on the eight-limbed path of yoga according to Patañjali

Dr. Günter Niessen (MD)

Dr. Günter Niessen is a specialist in orthopaedic and trauma surgery with a practice in Berlin. His previous training includes physical therapy, chiropractic, sports medicine, manual medicine, neural therapy, and acupuncture. He is a yoga teacher registered with the BDY/EYU. He has worked with thousands of patients suffering from various musculoskeletal issues, considering their problems from a holistic perspective.

 

Katharina Lehman

Katharina Lehman has been teaching Yoga and Yoga Therapy internationally for over a decade in group and private sessions, workshops and conferences. She holds a Diploma in Arts and completed several massage trainings and intensive studies in Psychology. With modesty and ease she points out ways to enhance wellbeing and integrate Yoga into daily life, as part of one's self-care regimen. 

Lucie Königová

Lucie has studied Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda for over 20 years. She has taught yoga with great joy for 17 years. Lucie's main focus is private yoga therapy, small group courses, yoga teacher mentoring, workshops and yoga teacher training. Originally a translator and social science researcher, Lucie has studied Svastha Yoga Therapy Program and several other yoga therapy, Ayurveda, somatic, natural movement and dance trainings. Her main teacher is her daughter, though 🙂 Lucie believes in the transformative, truly soothing and profoundly healing quality of yoga that restores us to our wholeness and integrity with clear and kind presence, keen and compassionate awareness and mindful and joyful living.

GOALS OF THE TRAINING:​​

  • with your newly acquired knowledge, you can integrate yoga holistically into everyday life and create a yoga practice specific to you

  • build up physical, mental and spiritual strength and restore your natural balance, sensitive to your individual needs

  • make yoga accessible to all people regardless of age, health conditions or cultural background

  • develop a clear and precise image of how you want to care for health and wellbeing in group and individual classes

 

APPROACH:​​

  • a lively variation of interesting lectures and practices of self-awareness keeps you engaged

  • the exploration of and interaction with case studies demonstrates how to read the body and its signals, as well as how to design targeted yogatherapeutic practices

  • our functional approach offers a clearly structured approach to using yoga in an undogmatic and effective way, in order to meet the needs and goals of the individual person

  • you will receive detailed scripts for preparation and follow-up work, as well as audio recordings of the module attended and illustrations of the yoga practices

  • specific questionnaires deepen your focus and reflection and support you to create your seminar diary with your own notes

  • regular mentoring offers expand your knowledge and promote application-based exchange

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

  • our training programme meets the international guidelines of the 300+ hour recognition by the Yoga Alliance® as a registered yoga school (RYS300). The overall certificate can be submitted to the Yoga Alliance® if you are registered as a Yoga Teacher (RYT200) (fee required)

  • please note: The 300 hour certificate does not entitle the holder to use the title "yoga therapist". It only indicates the participation in a yoga therapy training

  • we expect 100% attendance during the modules and certify successful completion after the fully completed final week (module 7)

  • the modules can also be booked individually, participants receive a corresponding certificate

 

Registration and Payment: 

  • Registration starts with sending the online form, followed by registration confirmation. Registration becomes binding for both parties.

  • The seminar fee is to be transferred only after you get an email with payment details for your bank transfer. You'll get payment certificate after your payment is executed. 

  • You have the right to cancel your registration within 14 days without giving any reason. To claim your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail). In that case you're still obliged to pay the cancellation fee (see Cancellation Terms). 

  • If you cancel your registration after the 14 -day timeframe you are obliged to complete the payment and the organizer is in entitled to the amount due, which will subsequently be claimed.

Terms and Conditions of Hosting the Training: 

  • For seminars that are planned or take place on site, a waiting list will be created as soon as more than 30 registrations are received.

  • For online courses, there is no limit to the number of participants.

  • It might be possible for some on-site courses to participate online as well as part of the livestream offer. If you're considering this, please take note of this in the registration forms.

  • Our preference is to hold scheduled courses on-site. We reserve the right to hold our full seminar offerings as online-only events as long as circumstances do not allow for a meaningful and plannable on-site event.

  • For on-site courses, travel, accommodation and meals are not included and must be organised independently.

Absence: 

  • Absences of a maximum of 10% (i.e. 4 hours) can be compensated by listening to the audio recordings, beyond this we cannot issue a certificate of attendance. The corresponding absences must be made up for with costs (50% of the course fee, or 60€ per day).

Cancellation: 

  • The organizer reserves the right to cancel the planned event. The cancellation of a seminar due to illness of the lecturer, force majeure or other unforeseeable events does not entitle the participant to claim for the execution of the seminar. The organizer will nevertheless try to find a solution acceptable to both parties, e.g. by rebooking to another date/place free of charge or by substituting the lecturer.

  • The organizer reserves the right to cancel the seminar if the number of participants is below 10. In case of cancellation, even at short notice, any participation fees already paid by you will of course be refunded. However, the organizer cannot be called upon to reimburse travel, accommodation or cancellation costs or be held liable for indirect damage, loss of profits or claims by third parties.

  • Cancellation or rebooking of the registration will incur a processing fee of 60 €. In the event of cancellation from 6 weeks before the start of the seminar, 50% of the seminar fees will be retained and from 2 weeks before the event, the full fee must be paid.

MODULE 1 Lumbar spine, pelvis and lower extremities

  • Areas and basics of Yoga Therapy

  • Locomotor system skills and Āsana variations for: mobility, stability, endurance, strength, flexibility and stretching, alignment, coordination, balance

  • Maintaining healthy tissues

  • Functional anatomy of the lumbar spine, the pelvic and hip region as well as the knees and feet

  • Systematic presentation of the various disorders of the lumbar spine, pelvis and lower extremities and their particular relevance to yoga teachers:

    • Dealing with various disorders, problems and common illnesses

    • Typical symptoms of the most important diseases and the resulting do's and don'ts for the yoga practice

 

  • We discuss yoga practice for people with:

    • Instability in slipped vertebrae, postural anomalies and disorders of the facet joints

    • Herniated disc of the lumbar spine

    • Disorders in the area of the sacroiliac joints (ISG)

    • Diseases of the soft tissues - fasciae, ligaments, tendons, musculature

    • Hip impingement, hip arthrosis and the use of endoprostheses

    • Knee joint arthrosis, meniscus and ligament injuries, knee endoprosthesis

    • Diseases of the feet, arches and toes

  • Develop a function-oriented approach with guidelines and suggestions in dealing with people with problems of the locomotor system

  • Observation of body structure, body language and function in posture and movement patterns on the yoga mat and in everyday life

  • Introduction to Yogasūtra related to Āsana

  • Relevant information for yoga teachers about modern treatment approaches

  • Integration of classical yoga methods and modern medical concepts such as pain-free, mindful, self-responsible

MODULE 2 Thoracic and cervical spine, shoulder girdle, arms and the anatomy of breathing:

  • Structured similar to module 1 with focus on the functional anatomy of the cervical and thoracic spine, shoulder girdle, elbows, wrists and hands

  • Anatomy of respiratory system, pelvic floor and bandhas

  • Systematic presentation of diseases of the upper spine and extremities with relevance for yoga teachers.

    • Scoliosis and osteoporosis

    • Thoracic spinal kyphosis and functional complaints

    • Shoulder, neck and headaches

    • Problems of the facet and unco vertebral joints

    • Instability with muscular imbalance and poor posture

    • Cervical disc herniation

    • Rotator cuff and impingement syndrome

    • Epicondylitis (tennis and golfer's elbow)

    • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

    • Finger polyarthrosis

  • Function-oriented approach and guidelines in dealing with ill people in yoga, especially in relation to movement and breathing
