Katka Rálková

Katka started with yoga about 9 years ago. First she discovered Bikram Yoga while living in California, after her return to the Czech Republic she took up Power Yoga and then later on Katka started studying Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with Dalibor Štědronský, with whom she continues her studies until today. With Dalibor Katka learns especially the advanced series and backbends. For some time she also studied Iyengar Yoga with Marcela Mikešová, which further deepened her understanding of proper alignment. Katka feels inspired especially by the the Ashtanga Yoga of Danny Paradise and other big teachers of ashtanga, such as Boris Georgiev, Andrew Eppler, Nancy Gilgoff as well as the "backbends master" Vinay Kumar of Mysore. She also studied Shiatsu and Shin Tai with Honza Pletánek, Czech Shiatsu and Taichi master. She is grateful to all her teachers for everything they taught her.

Katka believes that yoga should be playful and we should explore it fully. Ashtanga opens up the body and heart, connects us to our soul and brings new unexpected insights to those who search.
