18/05/2011 09:47

Join us on Sunday May 22nd for a day filled with yoga, great food and sharing while supporting a good cause. Several yoga teachers (Lenka Robinson, Lucie Königová, Lenka Nezvalová, Martina Procházková, Kamila Brenková, Petra Špindlerová, Veronika Carmannová, Tereza Cíchová and Běla) will let you participate in their world of yoga, meditation, healthy food and children's exercises.

The American teacher, yogi and co-founder of the company Organic India - Prashanti de Jager will use the language of yoga to introduce to us the DunaGiri project, of which we will all become a magical part. The goal of the charity market and yoga day at the farmhouse in Předboj is to support the building of a healing clinic in the Himalayas. The organizers and teachers participate in the project voluntarily, free of charge. The whole revenue from entry fees and market sales will be used for said purpose.

About the DunaGiri Project:

The DunaGiri foundation association – a non-profit organization registered at New Delhi – is a group that wants to help the local people to (re-) create sustainable and pulsating relationships within the ecosystem of the Himalayas, in all areas, however, with special emphasis on the enlivening of traditional herbalism, medicine and yoga. DunaGiri works together with the villagers, growing herbs in a certified organic system, which strives to use sustainable methods that will save to mountain ecosystem. The association also ensures the sales of herbs that will provide a reliable income for the local inhabitants.

„DunaGiri is currently building a clinic that will serve the locals as a medical center but also as a learning space where they can get educated about herbs and about ways to better health. We want to provide herbs and medical help to the locals for free. We are negotiating with the local doctors about their services and educational programs. The costs for the whole clinic are 20 000 USD and we are building it from local materials only.“
