In these four yoga classes you will have a chance to learn practice Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga series led in traditional way, how Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915 - 2009) used to teach it. The emphasis will be on correct breathing, connecting breath and movement and we will also learn asana modifications.
About the teacher:
Bobbi Misiti has started her Ashtanga practice is 1998 and has studied extensively with Nancy Gilgoff since 2003. In 2001 she opened her BeFit Yoga Studio in Pensylvania. Bobbi teaches with open heart, encouraging her students to find their limit, focusing inward and deepening their practice. About Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga:
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915 - 2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures. During the practice intense internal heat is produced and a profuse, purifying sweat detoxifies muscles and organs. The result of regular practice is a light and strong body and a calm mind. 2nd series: Friday 1. 10. 5:30 - 7:30 & Saturday 2. 10. 9:00 - 11:00 am
